BUY / STREAM: EVADE – ‘YOUR NEW VICE’ EP INCL ALICAN REMIX HERE

New school talent Evade is next up on the increasingly vital Marginalia label with two innovative new sounds on his ‘Your New Vice’ EP, one of which gets remixed by Turkish scene legend Alican.

Evade recently appeared on Marginalia with his own remix of Nakk on his ‘Echoes’ EP and now shows again why he is a fast rising talent. His future-facing sound is high on melody and always comes with innovative rhythms and in a short space of time he has formed a signature sound that is utterly unique and has taken him to IAMHER, Urge To Dance, Revelation and Us-Topia.

The opener here is ‘Your New Vice’, a tense cut with a cinematic sense of design and widescreen grover that’s detailed with fizzing pad and angelic background vocals has been a fixture in Elif’s sets worldwide in the last months.

Next up, remixer Alican hails from Turkey and has been producing since 2000. He has done it all in that time from drum & bass to breaks and house and is a key figure in his native scene who has helped to define the sound of the underground. He runs a successful record label and affiliated events wing under the Isolate banner and has released on the likes of Kompakt, Gigolo, Innervisions and many more, always evolving his sound each time. His remix of ‘Your New Vice’ is more electric, the synths get more serrated and the sound designs are sharp, bright and prickly for maximum impact in the club, getting strong support by Âme.

Meanwhile, ‘To Want To Fly’ is a deep house roller with organic pianos draped over the top and cosmic leads meandering their way up to the stars, another one in label founder Elif’s heavy rotation.

This is another compelling EP from the tastemaking Evade and remix from Alican on Elif’s Marginalia imprint.
