Tom Budden and Forrest. both have made names for themselves as individuals, but after this release I’m sure many people will be demanding more collaborations from the two. Lady Is Trouble EP , on Gruuv, is a hip and groovy release that will keep you dancing long into the hours. A label knows for giving us top notch music, their latest does not fail to deliver. Featuring great remixes from Coat of Arms, X-Press 2, and OFFT!, this record is sure to rise right to the top.
‘Lady is Trouble’ is a real mover on the dance floor. Forrest.’s intoxication vocals, accompanied by a wicked groove, make this track a sure crowd pleaser. Coat of Arms provide a nice atmospheric remix while X-Press 2 delivers with a sweet teched out edit. The other original off the EP is another scorcher for the dance floor, ‘Falling’ is a high energy jam with a malicious bass line and crisp percussion. OOFT!’s synthed out remix is a nice contrast to the original with loads of effects and dancing keys.
A great release from a great label, Gruuv never fails to impress and either do the artists involved.
