[New Release] Although it seems like it should have happened sooner, the hugely popular Guy Gerber returns to the production game and marks his first release on his buddies’ label, Visionquest. The title track is classic Gerber, journeying into some deep, melodic techno, with new layers of sound constantly being unveiled as the record progresses. “One Day in May” is more tailored for the dancefloor, with a harder kick and more percussion, while still keeping that trademark Gerber depth. Guy has also included a stripped down remix of the title track, perfect for home listening.
[New Release] This beautiful new release from Seth Troxler‘s meteorically rising label, Visionquest, adds a whole new twist to the label’s distinctive sounds. Although staying consistant with the deep and feel-good vibes, this EP deviates in its unique dreaminess. Even the first track, appropriately named “Warehouse Fool,” is uplifting and other-worldly despite its deathly dark and pulsating sounds–the faintest echoing elements and spacey vocals penetrating through the bass kick. “New Funk” is slightly more standard and less dreamy, but the deep and driving bassline stays true to the Visionquest sound that can’t really go wrong on the dancefloor. If you’re going late into the AM or just slipping into the night, “Flip Reverse Girl” is a slow, deep house jam with dirty vocals that’ll “turn you inside out.” Show off your sexiest, slow dance moves to this one disco dancers!

Dinky needs no introduction, DJing and producing for over a decade, releasing some serious game-changers on labels Cocoon (the classic Acid In My Fridge recently reworked by the Visionquest boys), Wagon Repair (Anemik LP, one of RAs albums of the year 2010), Crosstown Rebels (Get Lost 03 mix CD) and most recently Ostgut Ton, Dinky also runs her own imprint, Horizontal, specializing in her distinct brand of organic tech-house.
Creating three entirely different moods across this trio of tracks is Dinky showcasing her world-class ability to seize the principals of dance music and infuse them with her vital heart and soul.
