[Party / Interview] For the past few years, the Air London party (A Night in the Air) has marked the start of Conference during Miami Music Week. It is one of those essential events that Miami Music Week is simply not complete without. The lineup this year is certainly one to boast about and the location, well, the location is at the infamous Electric Pickle. If you are new to Miami, then you will quickly find that some of the best parties that occur year round (and at MMW), happen at The Electric Pickle. Tell us a little about the Air London party and how you got involved?
I am on the Air London agency and this is one of our showcases that we throw out there from time to time. I love doing these as it shows a togetherness, a family feeling of what music we are offering.
[Forthcoming Release] A little snippet from Laura Jones‘ upcoming split EP with Gavin Herlihy “Inner Place / Witching Hour” on Crosstown Rebels. Ms. Jones is definitely a MI4L favorite so we always look forward to anything she touches.

[New Release] An updated remix package with a couple of “producers of the moment” for a classic house track feels like it has been done a million times. However, it’s really hard to think of the last time it’s been done as good as this. The always fantastic Noir Music brings us 4 really cool, really different remixes, from Subb-an, Laura Jones, SIS, and Larse. The Subb-an remix is the pick of the bunch for us lovers (definitely a WMC bomb), but don’t sleep on the others! [Forthcoming Release] While usually I adhere to the old adage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” Noir Music’s upcoming remix package for Hollis P Monroe’s classic “I’m Lonely” could be changing my mind about cliches altogether.
This release is clearly not just a few predictable re-works of a classic house track, but rather 4 very different, very floor worthy remixes, which are sure to light up the early part of 2012. The Subb-an remix in particular, could be one of the bigger tracks of WMC, with it’s snaking bassline, and chilly re-tool of the unmistakable vocal. Larse, Laura Jones, and SIS round out the stellar artists on display here. Definitely a release you don’t wanna sleep on!
