[New Video] Shlohmo – Rained The Whole Time (Nicolas Jaar Remix)

[New Video] Break out star, Shlohmo, had a supreme year due to his cardinal release, Vacation, which is a jarring, haunting and dreamy-beautiful collection of sounds.  Hailing from the super-alternative (but extremely interesting) LA-based label, Friends Of Friends, the young producer recently toured overseas for the first time and is bound to keep making the big moves for years to come.  The creativity of his music and the audio captivation he garners will allow him to go nowhere but onwards and upwards.  First of all, make sure to look up Shlohmo’s art. Second of all, check out the latest video of “Rained the Whole Time,” remixed here by the always wonderful Nicolas Jaar.

[Video / New Mix] Gettin’ Sexy with Mr.C + Sexclusive Mix 5 (Live at Le Spank 2.9.12)

[Video / New Mix] Mr.C is always one of our favorite artists to talk about because of the incredibly positive and fun energy that he brings to the table at every performance. Last time he was in town, we caught a few moments with him to find out what makes his sex clock tick. “Good Sport” doesn’t even begin to describe this man, as we asked him questions like “How to deliver the perfect spank” or “How much sex is enough sex”. Thanks Mr.C for the good times and we look forward to having you back again soon! Check out the video below and the live recording we took during his performance at our SuperDiscoFreq party with him back in February. Enjoy!

[Video / New Release] Glimpse & Martin Dawson – Our Friends [Official Video] (Pets Recordings)

[Video / New Release] I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Pets Recordings is one of the most consistently on-point labels in the business. Their quality is never lacking and the artists they choose for releases create unique music, steering away form the fads of the moment and focusing on music with long-lasting playability. Glimpse & Martin Dawson execute a beautiful release here called “Our Friends” including two variations of the original track. Pets has also just released a music video for the original mix so check it out!

[Video] Soul Clap – The Clapping Song feat. Baby Prince & The Fam (Scion AV)

[Video] Here is yet another preview from the EFUNK album by Soul Clap, this time, featuring the track, ‘The Clapping Song’, forthcoming April 20th. The track features Gadi Mizrahi of Wolf + Lamb aka Baby Prince. Scion AV was responsible for putting this one together: A sunnyside-up funk bomb from Soul Clap soundtracks a pair of puppets as they lounge around at an infinity pool. Where can the furry friends go from there? To the club, of course. Directed by aloha shirt auteur Gabe Munitz-Alessio (aka GabeMA).

Here is the video by Lovelife in San Diego, featuring another single from the forthcoming EFUNK album, “Take It Slow featuring Franceska”. Enjoy

[Video] Lovelife presents… Soul Clap

[Video] On February 24th 2012, Lovelife threw one of the sexiest shows to grace the land of San Diego at Analog Bar featuring the masters of the sex jam, Soul Clap. Capturing the night in video was one of Southern California’s premier photographer/ videographer/ producers, Jeff Corrigan. Coupled with Soul Clap’s track (‘Take It Slow feat Franceska’) from their forthcoming LP “EFUNK” (W+L Records), the energy and the incredibly sexy vibes of the night were able to be perfectly portrayed through this video. With a special “THANK YOU!”, we would like to recognize Soul Clap for providing us with their new track for the video and their amazing performance, Jeff Corrigan and team for their dedication to our vision, and especially to all the Lovers who made this night and all our Lovelife nights possible. This one is for you Lovers <3

[Video] Seuil – Don’t Trust Feat. dOP (a crystalmafia production)

[New Video] Released just a few weeks ago, this video by crystalmafia perfectly embodies the mood of this track, Seuil – Don’t Trust feat. dOP (Out now on Circus Company). Somehow, the creepy and twisted vibe of the video brings out the same sentiments about the song, which I think was creatively and intentionally done well. To top it off, the track by Seuil featuring the signature vocals of dOP’s lead Jonathan Illel, is one beautifully crafted piece of music. The video and music combination exemplify the strengths in both productions.
