[New Release] DeadEcho – Made For You EP (My Favorite Robot)

[New Release] Hello, deliciousness. DeadEcho (yes, another duo!) cooks up a spunky, bouncy EP on My Favorite Robot who, by the way, is having an absolutely incredible year on the whole as a label.

 

James Teej offers up a deepened remix to the original title track, and definitely lives up to the anticipation we reported about it back in January.  The snares in the remix give it a very live, rock feel but the synths and vocal sample add the very out-of-this world element that’ll leave you high in the clouds. Bringing you back to four-on-the-floor is Tim Paris’s excellent tech house remix of “Milkshake.” The best part is that it is barely identifiable as the descendent of the original, which gives each a pedestal all their own. There is no competition between the two, as they’re both unique and sassy. You could even play them back to back.

 

The last track, “Speed Demon,” throws a wrench in the machinery, slowing the EP down significantly, but it’s so funky and unexpected it doesn’t even matter where it came from or why it’s there; it wraps up the collection of tracks perfectly.  DeadEcho certainly outdid themselves on this one — they’ve created a truly outstanding release for you disco dancers to enjoy.

The “deep-funky-techno” artist will be playing all night long and joined by residents Pasca & Matteo Cabassi (Circle Music Germany // Music Things Rec), Dany T, and Filippo Cattini.  In the second room, deep-tech support will come from Luis Martinez (Smoke Joke Record // Music Things // Hustler Muzik), Ale Lucato (Kubik +), and Francois Aka Franklin.  This party looks to be loaded with great grooves, and we all known those Italian boys and girls are sexy as hell, so if you’re in the area don’t miss out–get down disco dancers.

With a capacity of only around 300, the Pickle is packing some of the best parties of WMC with the intimacy that is lost at the larger events. Planet E: From Detroit, With Love Wednesday, March 21

Know the roots of the music you love–techno here will be at it’s best. I’ve seen Cassy in Tel Aviv (perfect) and Seth Troxler in Berlin (perfect) and it couldn’t be better to have them in the same room together. The rest of the line up is wonderful too. As the Pickle says, “This Night is about MUSIC and MUSIC ONLY. No clicks, no trick, no substitutes. Detroit Techno celebration with Carl, Kevin, Stacey, Cassy, Seth, Ann, Paris and ya’ll.” Sounds perfect.

If you’re looking for a little more tech house in your life, with deep house around the edges, this line up is amazing and I can’t imagine the energy ebbing for even an instant. And, umm, schedule is 7am-5am…which means you can definitely get some rest in between this and Get Lost on Saturday and then go alllllllllllllllllll morning/day/night/morning ;)

 

You better be practicing those sexy moves you disco dancers because you’re going to be using ‘em non-stop!
