Non-stop tune making machines Allen & Filix are back once again with another set of sizzling tech house bombs. This time they come on MadMonkey and once again are set to inject DJ sets and dance floors with vital underground sounds.
This Sicilian pair work together often on this label as well as Digital Traffik and always come correct. They prove that here with first cut Meet Me, a fulsome tune with pinging kick drums and sweeping synths that lift you off your feet. There is a heavy and high pressure sense of tribalism to the tune that gets you locked into the groove and big vocal stabs add real energy to proceedings.
Then comes Mainline, another slick tune with skittish hits panning about the mix. A synth line that is full of menace percolates up through the mix and brings a real sense of tension. When the whole tune finally drops it is a turbocharged tech cut that will blow people away.
Once again these assured studio wizards impress with their latest cuts.
