MBR – São Paulo based collective presents their third event in only a matter of months by bringing The Scumfrog for the first time to Brazil.
The high desert of Nevada is an arid and barren place. Scorching daylight sun punishes the earth and blinding dust storms wreak havoc across the wasteland, giving way to a frigid, starry, mysterious night.
Nestled between rugged mountain ranges, the dried remnants of a prehistoric lakebed once a year give way to an influx of humanity. It is here that Black Rock City is constructed, serving for one week as the spiritual and ephemeral home for thousands… including, of course, the MBR crew.
In this place, there is no authority, no rules. But there is respect. And perhaps there is no one who commands more respect than The Scumfrog.
Relatively unknown for many years outside of the NY and SF underground (despite a Grammy nomination and productions with Bowie and Sting), over the last few years the Dutch born/ New York bred The Scumfrog has earned a name for himself as the “must see” dj of Burning Man. Commanding over mesmerized audiences atop the Robot Heart bus, his unique blend of deep, powerful house and his own flawless productions turn the desert sunrise into an unforgettable experience.
Rounding up the lineup are: Davis, one of the most well respected names in the Brazilian electronic scene, resident at D-Edge and fresh off his performance at the BPM Festival in Mexico. The beautiful Kókó, creator of DOLLHOUSE and fundamental part of the MENTAL CREW, will be coming directly from Paraguay to play, and Alistair Gillespie, MBR member and founder of the label Gooseneck Records.
