The quality production work and DJ sets of Maya Jane Coles have enthralled the dance music world over the last few years.  Although the British artist is only 25, she has carved out a niche of her own within the dance music movement, playing countless festivals and recently curating her own I/AM/ME label.

Since her release of the perceptively sincere Easier to Hide four track gem in December 2012, music enthusiasts have been waiting to see what she has in store for 2013.  Due out this July, Miss Coles will release her debut studio album on I/AM/ME with the aid of Kobalt Label Services-a management company dedicated to helping artists and labels market and deliver their work without hindering their innovative vision.

“It’s very exciting to be in charge of my debut album.  Kobalt has given me total creative freedom and that is a necessity for me as an artist,” says Coles.

“Comfort” was produced, engineered, mixed and performed by Maya with some collaborative efforts from various guest vocalists. In high global demand, she will be touring in 30 countries this season and making appearances at multiple festivals and high profile venues — everywhere from Sonar in Barcelona to Fuji Rocks in Japan to Wavefront in Chicago.

The anticipation will be rough, but I have a feeling “Comfort” will be worth the wait, holding essential tracks for all the warm weather and great parties that lie ahead this summer.
