[Forthcoming Release] Danny Daze continues his assault on the world of underground electronic music. His remixes are always top notch, as evidenced by recent work such as his 5 a.m. Remix for Flight Facilities “With You” and his and Odd Parents techy take of Eric Volta‘s “Believe.” However his remix abilities are rivaled only by his original works, namely last years hit on reveled label Hot Creations, “Your Everything,” a track that dropped jaws and redefined the musical envelope. And he returns with a new original track next month.
“Zone” is a snarling, gritty, menacing track. Jaymo and Andy George debuted the song as their Essential Tune on BBC Radio 1 and described it as Daze at his “angriest.” A growling bass line helps the song chug along while slaps and a heavy kick drum perfectly accompany the unabashedly blunt lyrics, which truth be told, could very easily be aimed at his audience, or at least those people that feel the need to approach him during a set. Whatever the reasoning, the track is a beast, and if YouTube videos are any indication, one that would make the club go wild when dropped.
“Zone” will be released on vinyl July 23 as past of the Future Classic DJ’s Compilation and he’s even throwing in a little something extra for those that purchase it:
Also, don’t forget, if you’re in the San Diego area July 29 you can catch Danny Daze live at Lovelife’s Summer of Love Pool Party: X-mas in July. He’ll most surely be dropping this bomb and really, what’s better than hearing something like this live?
