[New Release] Every now and then you come across a release where the originals and the remixes hold their own alike. That happens to be the case with Soulfooled’s most recent release, ‘Alma/Reach 2 Control’. The title track ‘Alma’, by David Hasert & Bryan Kessler sits at 115bpm making it a great summer-day opener while its remix by Superlounge bumps the bpm to 124 making it a real peak hour track. The second original on the EP is ‘Reach 2 Control’ and is by another set of producers, Flavio Acaron & Jonny Cruz (also vocalist). The original is super smooth & techy with its groove and vocals, but remixer Hugh Harry really changes the feel of the original with his adjusted kick and snare pattern. All solid tracks.
